Here’s an interesting statistic: More than one-third of all workplace injuries occur during an employee’s first year on the job, according to the Travelers 2022 Injury Impact Report, which analyzed more than 1.5 million workers compensation claims over a four-year period.
The top sources of injuries are overexertion (29%); slips, trips and falls (23%) and being struck by an object (14%). Accidents involving motor vehicles were in a distant fourth place, representing 5% of all employees.
